Who reviews
Our clinical team reviews the medical content on Zappy. The team is led by Michel Choueiri, MD, our Medical Director. Some articles he reviews himself, and those show his name. His focus is metabolic health (how your body uses and stores energy), hormone therapy, and weight care based on research. See his full profile.
What we review
- Product pages. Every treatment we offer has its own page. It covers what the treatment does, who it's for, dosing, and side effects. We review it before it goes live, then again every three months.
- Ingredient pages. How each ingredient works, the research behind it, dosing, side effects, and how it mixes with other drugs. We review these before they go live.
- Comparison pages. Treatments and ways of taking them, side by side. We review these before they go live. When new trial data comes out, we check our conclusions again.
- Learn articles. Guides and practical answers. These pages show a "Medically reviewed by" line and a "Last reviewed" date.
How sourcing works
Some claims are about results, like average weight loss, how often side effects happen, or how a drug works. Those come from published trials that other experts have checked (peer-reviewed). We name the trial on the page, such as STEP 1, SURMOUNT-1, or SELECT. We link the original study in a References section. That way you can check every claim yourself.
When we update
Pages are re-reviewed:
- When the FDA changes a drug's label (within 30 days)
- When results from a major trial come out (within 60 days)
- Every three months, even if nothing has changed
The "Last reviewed" date on each page shows the most recent of these. The current review date for the whole site is May 17, 2026.
What we don't do
We don't promise any one person a certain result. No medicine can promise that. We share what happened across large groups of people and explain how the treatment works. Then your clinician makes the call for you during your visit.
How to flag an error
If you find something wrong, email care-team@walk.zappyhealth.com. We'll reply within 5 business days. We fix mistakes right on the page.
