Calculator

Carb calculator

Find how many grams of carbs to eat each day. It's based on your calorie limit, your protein goal, and how much you train.

The math

We take your daily calories and give a set share to carbs and a set share to fat, based on the plan you picked. Carbs have 4 calories per gram. Fat has 9. Your protein number is shown as you entered it. So the three together may not add up exactly to your daily calories.

Picking a strategy

  • Low-carb (35%): Can help with insulin resistance (when your body doesn't respond well to insulin), PCOS, or type 2 diabetes. Most people don't need to go lower than this.
  • Balanced (40%): The starting choice for most members.
  • Higher-carb (50%): For people who train hard (5+ days a week) and have no insulin problems.

Numbers are the starting point
