What the first months look like

1
Weeks 1–4

Priming dose (2.5 mg). This is not a treatment dose. It's there to help your stomach get used to the medicine.

2
Weeks 5–20

Your dose goes up in 2.5 mg steps about every 4 weeks. Side effects tend to show up after each step. How fast you step up is the main thing you can change.

3
Month 5+

Maintenance at 10–15 mg. This is when the change builds, over months.

4
Ongoing

Check-ins and dose changes. Weight tends to come back after stopping. So if you stop, we plan it and lower the dose slowly.

Dosing, step by step

Start 2.5 mg weekly — priming dose, 4 weeks
Steps +2.5 mg ~every 4 weeks — 5 → 7.5 → 10 → 12.5 mg as tolerated
Target 10–15 mg weekly — your clinician weighs any step above 10 mg against side effects

Your clinician sets the pace. Going slower is common and medically fine.

And when it gets rough

Show what helps
  • Nausea It happens for the same reason as with all GLP-1s. Eat smaller, low-fat meals and step up more slowly. Tell your clinician if it gets worse instead of fading.
  • Constipation Try fluids, then fiber, then magnesium, in that order. Work with your clinician.
  • Early fullness Work with it. Eat your protein first, and stop when you first feel full.
  • Injection-site redness Use a different spot each week. Mild redness where you inject is common and goes away soon.

Safety information

A U.S.-licensed clinician reviews every prescription and decides whether this medicine is right for you. During your visit, tell them if any of the following applies to you or your family.

In rodent studies, semaglutide and tirzepatide caused thyroid C-cell tumors. It is not known whether they cause these tumors, including medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC), in people. Do not use this medication if you or any of your family have had MTC, or if you have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2).

Why we start you here
The right weight treatment depends on your health history, goals, how you respond, and how well you handle it. A plateau doesn't automatically mean you need to switch or raise your dose. Compounded tirzepatide is not FDA-approved. Results from brand-name trials don't prove it works the same way or as well. Brand-name options are FDA-approved, and you can ask us how they compare for you.

At 51 years old, I honestly didn’t think I could turn back the clock the way I have — but this program has helped me in every way possible. I’ve lost a sizable amount of weight but It’s not just about the weight. It’s my energy, my confidence, my discipline, and my mindset. My joints don’t hurt like they used to. I sleep better. I move easier. I feel lighter physically and mentally. And you truly can’t put a price on your health. Their customer service is amazing — I’ve literally received responses within minutes. Any time I’ve had a question or concern, it’s been handled quickly and professionally. This wasn’t overnight. It was consistency. And Zappy gave me the structure to stay consistent. Best investment I’ve made in myself in a long time.

I started with another "Z" company and got more excuses than I cared for... so I tried Zappy. I do my online survey every month to let them know about my weightloss and I've received my injections every month. Flat rate no hidden fees, and the cost doesn't increase. This company is great and helps you every step of the way. Wanna good company to get weightloss prescriptions, go with Zappy.

Common questions

How much does Tirzepatide cost?
From $279/mo on a 6‑month plan, or $349 if you pay month to month. That price covers everything: the medication and your clinician's care. There's no membership fee, and the price is the same at every dose. You'll see the full price before checkout. You pay nothing unless a clinician approves you.
How is Tirzepatide taken?
You start with a 2.5 mg shot under the skin once a week for 4 weeks. Then the dose goes up every 4 weeks (5 → 7.5 → 10 → 12.5 → 15 mg), as long as your body handles it. The maintenance dose is usually 10–15 mg a week.
What are the side effects of Tirzepatide?
Common: nausea, diarrhea, constipation, less appetite, tiredness. Less common: acid reflux, reactions where you inject. Rare: pancreatitis (swelling of the pancreas), gallbladder problems. Your clinician checks your health history before prescribing. They'll change your plan if side effects come up.
Does Tirzepatide interact with other medications?
Tell your clinician about everything you take. Known interactions: Insulin and sulfonylureas: higher risk of low blood sugar; Birth control pills: may work less well for a while after each dose increase; Other GLP-1 / GIP medicines: never take them together.
Is Tirzepatide FDA-approved?
No. Compounded medicines are made for you by licensed U.S. pharmacies, based on your prescription. They are not FDA-approved.
Why does it act on both GLP-1 and GIP?
GIP is a second gut hormone. It works alongside GLP-1 to help your body respond to insulin.
Do I need insurance to start?
No. Zappy is cash-pay. You can use an FSA or HSA card for eligible costs.
How fast will I see results?
Most members feel less hungry within 1–2 weeks. Weight usually starts to change around week 4–8, as your dose slowly goes up.
